About Me (In My Own Words)
After having 2 stents inserted on 29th March 2019 at the luton & dunstable Hospital , my femoral artery was severed resulting in the blood loss of my entire body and having to be blue lighted to the Royal Free hospital in London for life saving vascular surgery, I spent 5 days in their ICU before being returned to the Luton & dunstable hospital where I contracted sepsis within 24 hours, this lasted 10 days and I was eventually allowed home to recover from my vascular surgery still unable to walk, after a month I started to feel terrible angina symptoms and went back to the L&d hospital where I was told I would need another angiogram much to my dismay, in the meantime I was rushed to a&e with heart attack like symptoms where I was kept in the CCU ward and monitored, 5 days later I had these attacks again and the L&d hospital blue
Lighted me to the wonderful Harefield hospital for an emergency angiogram and may I say what a completely different and may I say even pleasant experience it wa compared to the previous hospital, after 6 weeks of being a harefield patient and many many tests it was decided that I needed a CABG X3 which was performed by the great Mr Raja who I owe my life too.
I’m not 6 months post op I’m still in cardiac rehab and having therapy for PTSD from my initial angioplasty experience but my recovery is going in the right direction now
