Send Kathy a NoteAbout Me
Ten years now since I found out that I had a congenital heart defect, bicuspid aortic valve. I've been monitored every year since through Echocardiograms and Cat Scans. Got past the summer of 2016 when I thought I'd be having surgery, but ended up with iron infusions and my symptoms went away, so surgery was put on hold for the time being. They have been monitoring me every six months. Started with some shortness of breath again and they cancelled my stress test, brought me in for an appointment and yesterday I had a Cardiac and Lung Catheterization. I have been thankful for the extended time that I received, but yesterday brought it all back to the forefront. This was the place that I needed to come back to so I could learn about anything new and get support from people who understand. It's always been a comfort knowing that Adam is near.
