Diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in 2008; OH/Septal Myectomy at Mayo/Minn in 2014;
ARCA congenital heart defect found at surgery; Mitral valve replacement (mechanical), tricuspid "O" ring repair, CABGx2 OH surgery 9/2015 at OHSU/Portland. Current age: 66 Lifelong health had been excellent---high energy, athletic, happy, 30+ year-educator. Not so much all that anymore after 2 open hearts in 2 years. Fighting to get some of it back.
