About Me

After my Apple Watch started picking up Atrial Fibrillation, I was recently diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse with severe regurgitation and ruptured chords. I will have a heart cath procedure next Wednesday and meet with the surgeon to discuss 2 options. He feels it can be repaired and can be done less invasive to repair the valve and chords or as open heart to also correct the atrial fib through the Maze procedure. Even though I prefer the less invasive procedure, I'm leaning toward the more invasive to correct everything. My cardiologist feels I should be able to stop taking Eliquis afterwards.
