I have medium to severe regurgitation of the mitral and aortic valves but am presently asymptomatic. My cardiologist has me under "active surveillance" by means of semi-annual transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in order to determine when I'll need to undergo surgery. At this point I'm still unclear as to what surgical technique will be appropriate for me, and I'm still trying to find a great surgeon for my particular condition. Any recommendations from the "old hands" on the HVS website? I'm posting for the first time.
