About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 47 years of age, married and have 4 children. I have a rare autoimmune called Churg Strauss Syndrome. It can affect any organ in the body. I was diagnosed in 2000 with heart and lung involvement. My EF was 19%...from cardiomyopathy. Fast forward to this past August, I started to have a flare up of CSS. I was planning on a trip to a specialist in Denver. In the process of testing for this trip...severe mitral regurgitation and systolic heart failure. It has been determined there is high confidence to repair instead of replace as well as robotic less invasive procedure.
