About Me (In My Own Words)
My aortic valve was replaced 3 times by Dr. Starnes at USC, first in 1996, then in 2007, and recently in 2024. There are no words available to express my gratitude to Dr. Starnes and the team at USC. From recommending plans best suitable for me at various stages of my life, to three successfully operated procedures, and to excellent post-op cares, I could not have hoped for anything different. My family and I feel grateful each day for the 28 years of "normal" life that Dr. Starnes and the USC team had given me and look forward to many more to come! Throughout my career, I had lived in various parts of the country/overseas and visited various experts/hospitals related to my heart. If time could go back, I would choose Dr. Starnes and the USC team again! again! and again!
