About Me

I was diagnosed with Mitral Stenosis when I was 43 years old and had a Valvular Plasty procedure that worked. The procedures lasted 23 years and now my heart is in fibrillation and I have a mammary artery that is about 70% closed. I am scheduled for Mitral Valve replacement surgery along with a by-pass for the mammary artery, and a maze procedure for the atrial fibrillation. I think this is a great Web Site and I am encouraged by the many successful stories regarding open heart surgery. I live in Knoxville, Tenn. and would appreciate feedback regarding this type of surgery. In my case we are going to use an artificial valve. Thanks Curt Holemes
