I had been mostly asymptomatic with shortness of breath & shocked when I had my first, 6 hr A-Fib excelleration. Felt a bit strange during the day but lounging at home late afternoon alone. I called 911 went to hospital for 3 days and was told I needed open heart surgery. I really hadn't considered my heart much since I have a strong immune system, never had the flu or covid... a cold every 5 yrs. I'm relieved we caught it in time... dreading being away from Luicy, my 8 lb maltipoo who was also diagnosed with a heart condition at the same time. I've learned so much on this site and found the best doctor in the country for my procedures, Dr. Luis Castro.
