I contacted Dr. Castro to discuss mitral valve repair. I had severe regurgitation. He recommended that I get a cardiac catheterization to check for coronary artery disease. The results were good, and Dr. Castro scheduled surgery for complex mitral valve repair and excision of the left atrial appendage. Access was via mini-thoracotomy. The surgery was quick, successful, and virtually pain-free. Recovery has gone well, and I am back to normal activities.
Dr. Castro is very skilled and very caring of his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Castro and his team to anyone in need heart valve repair or replacement.
