Send Brenda T a NoteAbout Me
I just celebrated my 63rd birthday, and my present will be to get a mitral and tricuspid valve repair and an aneurysm fixed on March 7th at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. Dr. David Adams is my surgeon, and I am so blessed to have found him. The mitral valve is enlarged into Barlowe's disease. I am having a catheterization on March 5th to rule out any blockages, but I am anaphylactically allergic to contrast dye, so I am concerned about that procedure. I'll be taking Prednisone on March 4th and 5th before I enter the hospital, and more meds will be administered before the test. I'll be admitted. I also have had severe reactions to general anesthesia, so I am not thrilled that I cannot have Diprovan for anesthesia, which works so well without any problems. I have a strong support team of people praying for me, and I know I am in God's hands. Now that I started this journal, this heart surgery is becoming more real! I have 4 days until I am admitted...
