Beau's Profile

My name is Beau Prince and I am in the United States Navy. I was diagnosed with a bicuspid valve, 5 years ago. At the same time I also had ventricular tachycardia which was treated with an ablation. I was diagnosed with an enlarged aortic root about 2 years ago. At that time, it was decided that we should wait for both the aortic root and the valve "to worsen" to balance out the risk of doing both surgeries at once. This past October it was deemed that "it is about that time." I go in for my consult on March 23rd to see if the surgery is going to happen now, or wait another 6 months. It is a very nerve racking situation, but Adam's book and website have been an amazing blessing to me. Thank you sooo much Adam for putting this together so all the information I kept searching for was all in one place.
