You should start counting your birthdays by your heart surgery anniversaries, sort of like how Mrs. Bender was born on February 29... she\'s technically only 12ish. So, you\'re only 2! Now, doesn\'t that make you feel better about your age? :D
You were such a good (albeit, facetious) patient... other than that one time you faked a heart attack. However, I think you received your due punishment when you laughed at our reactions, if you know what I mean (I believe Emily used the term \"whimper-laugh\"). ;)

Two years already? I\'d say Dr. Ryan did a pretty good job (but he didn\'t fix your orneriness, lol)! One of the best parts of that time (other than the surgery turning out great) was when Allison and I would take you on \"walks\". You would always \"scrape us off\" on the hospital walls, then you\'d start this kind of whimper-laugh because it hurt to laugh, but you thought scraping us off was soooo funny that you couldn\'t stop! lol! :) Anyway, it was fun to be one of your in-home \"nurses\" (especially sticking star stickers on a certain chart... *ahem ahem*), and to watch westerns with you while you recovered!

My dad brought over my mom\'s fancy (leather) wing-backed recliner for me. I\'m wondering what to put between me and he leather...a sheep\'s skin? Or will that be too hot? Maybe just a banket? Trial & error, right?

I\'m more concerned about my recovery and when I\'ll be able to get back to work in my practice. I\'ve been doing Medical & Sports massage for 14 yrs. Plus, I own my home & do my own yardwork/gardening. I was widowed young (3 yrs ago).
Can you tell me how much help you needed from others and for how long after your surgery? What is realistic???

My name is Melissa and recently my aortic stenosis got \"upgraded\" to severe with an opening of .8cm and gradient of 50. Some of your numbers were better and some of them were worse. Guess I will never understand the differences between cardiac patients. I have been very interested in the Ross Procedure and the pros and cons. Haven\'t really got to that stage of discussion with my dr yet but always weighing heavily on my mind. Bovine will have to be fixed in 15 yrs tops but mechanical requires meds for the rest of your life. My mom has mechanical and I would not want to ever be in the position she is in with hers. So any info, even biased, you can give me would be extremely helpful. Glad you are doing well. You give me hope.

Yes Wade, going off of pain med makes it hard to sleep. I had a big surgery last July and took one pain pill a day for several months and when I went off of them my sleep has been awful.
Our family is praying for you!! So happy to hear that you are healing well. Give yourself lots of time, you will feel back to yourself in time. For my surgery it was about 10 months and I was pretty much me again! :o)

Linda told us that you guys spoke recently and that you were ready to come back to the team...RELAX Wade, there\'s no need to rush back into the swing of things. Linda and Lindsay are covering for you so you know you are in good hands.
I\'ve been pretty busy with the $40 talk and text promotion. People love the plan, but hate the fact that it\'s only available on one handset. The campaign is almost over (6/30). Other than that, everything has been going well. I had Roger in town last week and Anthony R is coming into Houston mid June.
On a personal note, the kids just got out of school last friday so you know my house is going to be CRAZY! LOL.
I hope Natilie and the girls are doing well.

See, Wade? We all TOLD you to take it easy, and let things take their time. What we weren\'t telling you is to rest while you can, because the rehab is going to start pushing you and making you wish you had taken full advantage of those down times while you had them! LOL
...but seriously, it is sure great to hear of your progress, and I hope and pray that it continues at least as well as the doctors envision. Hopefully, you will be back to the \"no kid gloves\" old Wade as soon as possible, and your girls (wife included) will be able to get their workouts just keeping up with you!
For a Christian, you don\'t hafta distinguish between the physical energy and endurance and the spiritual, because God will renew your strength(Isaiah 40:31) in both parts of your life...and we all are lifting you and your family up to Him, also.

Good to hear you were able to get out for short walk. With the back pain I have had I can relate to the \"don\'t know what you got till it\'s gone\" syndrome. Sounds like your progress is great though.
Just found out last night that my Dad probably will need to have his aortic valve either repaired or replaced because of leakage. It has been leaking for a while but he started having shortness of breath recently so he has been referred to cardio doc. It has kind of got me freaked out but he is in great shape for being 81. I would be more freaked out if it were not for hearing of your sucessful surgery and how well your recovery is going. I also have gained a little knowledge on the subject, from just looking into it after your procedure.
See..what your going through has already done someone else some good :) Keeping you in our prayers..

Our calls aren\'t the same without you...eventhough we are still using your bridge (so I guess you are on the call in spirit).
Things are going well midway through the $40 TnT trial and about to start working on Q3 programs.
I know you are not a big sports guy, but the Mavs are in the Western Conference Finals, they have a great chance to reach the NBA Finals...
Well take care, be patient with your recovery, and watch some great TV shows and movies.
