Hi Ron, I just found your note in my guestbook. I see you're in Florida too. I went to Orlando to Florida Hospital for my surgery. Dr. Kevin Accola was my surgeon and I would highly recommend him! He does over 300 valve surgeries a year. I chose a bovine valve, because I didn't want to be on blood thinners. I know exactly what you mean about the fear. I was scared to death when I first found out, but I prayed for God to give me peace and courage. He did, because after that I was much more calm and able to get through it. That nervous feeling would still try to creep into my mind sometimes, but I would remind myself of God's promise to never leave me alone. You can read about my surgery experience in my journal.
