Ron, Sounds like things are going well. I slept a lot for the first couple of weeks after the hip surgery. I think it is a combination of not being able to get comfortable at bed time, and your body needing rest. :) We had to push Cindy's dad to get out and walk after his bypass surgery. Keep at it, just don't over do it. :) See you Sunday! Kurt <><

Sorry to hear about your delay, but it's important to get the root canal done before your surgery. John Querns has been real good about passing on information to us, about our church family back in Ohio, since we moved to Texas. I'm glad since I haven't been on Facebook lately to know what's going on with anyone. We will keep you in our prayers.

Ron, I had aortic valve and aorta replacement in Dec 2013. Never had any significant signs. I knew about it since I was 8. 48 years later I had it fixed. Bovine tissue valve so no blood thinners required. The experts said it was time. God will be with you and your family. Try not to be anxious. Philippians 4:6. Listen to the doctors and nurses. I assume you will do rehab. I did 12 weeks rehab. fortunately it was very close to my house so I could drive after 3 weeks. My doctor and rehab specialist told me to get up and walk around the house every 30 minutes and increase from there. Since it was a huge snow winter I walked a lot in the house. Just don't try to lift and stretch for the first 8 weeks. Your heart valve brother in KC (home of BBQ, the Royals, the Chiefs, & KU basketball). Tom Bender

Hey Ron, Thank you for copying me on your email with this web site & info. I consider you one of my best friends from NCR. We had some really good chats while walking on our lunch hours. I still remember you eating all those apple cores. Just know my friend that I will be praying for your surgery to go well, and that God will grant you many more years of life & time with your family. Tell Robert & wife we said hello, and let him know his "sprout" of a pine tree is now about 10-12 ft. high and doing well in our back yard. God Bless, we will keep in touch.
