Ralph...hang in there and stay occupied. You worry yourself silly if you think about it too much. Just know I was exactly where you are only a few weeks ago, so I know exactly what is going thru your head. You will do just fine and get to the other side before you know it. They will take very good care of you and you will be heading home from the hospital feeling a lot better.
You will do great Ralph.

Before the operation is the worst. However the big thing about post op is the beautiful healthy heart that is healing you so much better than anything before. I was amazed at my virtual immediate mobility. I have had a set back with some shoulder and back pain in the last few days. However do as they say. Don\'t over do it and life will be so good.
Best wishes. (-: Rosemary Sutherland

This is whole new thing for me...I've seen hundreds of caths over the years...just always took it for granted that it was never going to happen to me.
I'll hold off on the fluids...I have a bladder the size of a golf ball..not much to it. LOL.

Ralph...hope you are dealing with the early snow well. Yuck! The angiogram is actually a piece of cake. Had mine about 6 weeks ago. The worst part was actually the nurses ripping the tape off my hairy arm...seriously.
I had my AVR 2 weeks ago and I am feeling great now. Whatever happens for you, just know you will get fixed and you will get back to living your life. Keep us posted.
