Hi nancy, I am going on Thursday for my 2 week post op visit at Dr. Girardi- If you get a chance can you tell me what they do and waht to expect? Just curious- are there any tests? My Steri stips are still on- only the bottom one came off- will he remove them? I hope you are healing well and we can get together soon Thanks susan klapkin

Hi Nancy, And it only gets better. Truly amazing! I\'m 7 months post op and feel really good. No limits now at all. Back to normal self, good as new. They say that it takes a good year to completely be healed and feel good, I don\'t know how that\'s even possible, considering how good I feel now. I do tire quicker, so maybe that\'s part of the year part. Otherwise, all is good. Keep up the good work, Diana

Hi Nancy, Thanks for the note. You are so right about speaking another language. Some friends expect you to bounce back to your normal self, it is hard to explain and sometimes tell them no. I sometimes still have teary moments but they seem to be settling down. I am glad to hear you are doing well! Let us know how the echo looks. Did you get a chance to look at it? I was so amazed by mine. I actually am looking forward to my CT scan so I see more of what our amazing hearts are doing! Amy Sz.

Hi Nancy, Thanks for your entry in my guestbook. Today marks one week since coming home from my surgery. Overall I am doing really well. I have been venturing out every day thanks to the warmer temperatures. Pain is manageable. I haven\'t gotten a heating pad like you suggested yet, but did have some friends give me light massages, which definitely help. Hope you had a good transition into the new year. I am glad I had the surgery before the new year. It\'s so nice starting the new year on the upwards path. Wishing you continued smooth recovery and quick return to full activity. Thanks for communicating, it\'s reassuring and comforting to know that we have peers out there who know what we are going through and be able to communicate from a \"knowing place\" All the best, Chris K from New York
