I too will be having an aortic valve replacement as well as a section of my ascending aorta replaced with a Dacron Graft to repair an aneurysm caused by the aortic stenosis.

You know you have our prayers, our love, and our desire to help in any way. I thank God for your faith and your relationship with our Lord. I know that you will remain in His arms through all of this. I believe that this ordeal will serve to build your faith and bring you even closer to Him.
Michelle just had my cath and had a good report. No blockage and heart is fairly strong just a very bad valve. Praying for you to have a good report too.

I will be praying for your upcoming test. I've had one long time ago and it was painless but I understand your feelings. I too face surgery in the future and I'm not too pleased with the thought but it must be done and the many people that have posted in here has helped me tremendously. Prayers going up now.

Read plenty of journals to know what to expect before and after surgery. It helped allay my fears and I was plenty ready for surgery when it was time. You can check the "learning center" part of the website to find answers for many things, or use the "search" function and you can find answers to most questions. If you want some laughs, read my journal, but just keep in mind there's some exaggeration now and then for the sake of humor. Keep positive thoughts. It does make a difference. It takes a lot of patience to be a patient, one of the harder things for me, so expect some frustrations. I hated how weak I felt after surgery and having to rely on people for help. But you just have to let go and let people help you. It's OK.
