It is good to see that you are progressing so well. Also good to see that you have lots of family and friends to help you during your recovery.
In my case, the third week seemed to be a big week, I was beginning to feel that I was actually getting better; still a long way to go, but it seemed to be a milestone in my recovery. I hope it is the same for you!
You go girl! Keep it rockin :) I'm so happy and relieved that your recovery is going so well. I somehow knew all along that you were going to get through this gracefully and look at you, doing just that!
Welcome home Lisa...
Well aren't you the surgery "poster child"...yea! :-) If only I can follow your lead I will be more than a little happy.
Looking forward to your inspirational posts as you recover.....you give this old woman hope...lol
Take it easy & smile.... You are on your way!
Lisa, now that I’m home, I miss seeing you all the time. It’s great to see how quickly you are regaining your strength. Your smile through all of this is so inspiring to me. I know that it’s a long road, but we will all be there to make it as enjoyable road possible.
Your sister and friend, Rebekah
Glad you are home and doing so well! Good job! Now start those walks, and expect to have some "bad" days (not very many) along with the great ones! Keep taking those pain meds for a while, it helps with the transition!
Welcome home Lisa. You sound like you are progressing well and indeed that was a short hospital stay. Keep up your positive spirit as you still have some time on your journey to recovery, but the best part is being home.
You'll have to please forgive my slacking off on this site sometimes.
I was really touched by your story and about the loss of your sister. I'm so happy that you were able to repair your valve and in a timely manner.
It sounds like you're doing very well. I enjoyed your poem and look forward to more.
My aortic valve replacement via Ross Procedure is scheduled for August 1 in Austin. I'm in the waiting mode which is not much fun.
I will pray that you continue to heal more each day. Thanks for sharing your sweet story,
I know that it's a process, but this is tremendous news. Further, your apartment is clean...just in time for an extended visit by your mother. Your relief was palpable!
Get better soon.
Thinking of you. Linda, Robert, Matt and Allison
Glad to hear you are out and about. How was that first cough? Hope you are ready to heal. Rest easy. Take it slow. Enjoy letting other people do things for you. You deserve it. Here's to you and a speedy recovery....Dave
Hey Lisa, Happy to hear things are going well with you! I knew you were in good (GOD) hands and had faith your recovery would be quick so you can go about your normal life. After all there is a Woods Girl wedding coming up and I'm sure you have lots to do. Love from your Alaskan Family the LIPTAKS
Hi Lisa, you are doing great!! You may think these are little steps, but....they are actually huge! Just think, only 2 days ago your heart was stopped, fixed and started again, and now you are writing in your journal! Amazing!!!Keep up the good work and remember...slow and easy!

Whoot-Whoot Lisa! It's great to hear your "voice." You are just clicking through that recovery process. I didn't expect things to happen so quickly, but I'm so glad they are! Now don't be racing around the hospital halls -- save that for later. :) Truly, truly thankful to hearing you do so well. Hugs....Bonny Millard
I am glad to hear you are doing well. I was there 4 months ago for an aortic valve replacement and let me tell you that you can do no better than the Bonow / McCarthy team. We are lucky to have one of the best heart surgeons in the world in our city...
Wishing you the best and fastest recovery...you are so courageous and i know you will bounce back to your beautiful self really soon! I truly am sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your family for being blessed that the surgery went well. Take care and God Bless!

I too was writing notes to the family. They tell me it was like charades trying to interpret my writing which is typically bad so I can imagine it was a struggle with the meds. Save those notes...especially if she is a scrapbooker. Will look forward to coming updates. Karen Campo
I was immeasurably relieved to get your dad's text that the surgery had gone so well. We've thought of little else all day as we waited to hear. I've fallen in love with your blog, complete with the "Matchmaker" lyrics and the poem for Jessica who I believe always knew how alike you really were in your souls. Such great news today! Linda and Robert
Hello my brother, thanks for keeping us in the loop out here in other places. So glad that all has gone well so far. Glad for you all and for Lisa and for us others that love her too. Love the poem she wrote, of course. Looking forward to her words during the recovery. Love from Aunt P. Of Althea
