Praying for God to give you peace and some good restful nights prior to surgery! It's a tough thing to explain, what your brain does pre surgery, to someone who hasn't had open heart surgery on their calendar! As many have mentioned, the wait for surgery is worse than the surgery itself! Fortunately these medical teams do heart surgery on a daily basis and have the procedures down! My aortic valve was replaced over 3 years ago and I am thankful for medical knowledge that allows us to live fully after these issues! As I bike, hike and nordic ski I find myself saying outloud; "I LOVE my new valve" You will be saying the same! May God hold you and your family close and have you running with your daughters full tilt early 2020!

Hi Lauren, Best wishes for a complete recovery. It sounds like you are good hands and you know what to expect. I was eager to get back into fitness stuff after my surgery in September. Listen to the professionals and you will be fine. Looking forward to your updates.
