I\'m glad you are doing great after 1 year!!! Your journey with 2 surgeries is amazing to me.....and very encouraging. My mitral valve was repaired from severe regurgitation to mild leakage. It may or may not hold, but knowing you went through a second surgery helps keep me from worrying too much.

It is such a joy to me to watch you live your life fully free of worrying about the next surgery, now that it is over we can all breath easier and relax and live life as we should. Your are an awesome daughter Jamie, you have proven how much strength and courage you have and you never let it all get you down. Things are good with my, except for the weight gain. I\'ve put on about 20 lbs since surgery. I\'m back in the gym and feeling better again.
I\'m planning on being in Texas at Fort Hood for Christmas to see my daughter and grandson.
How about those Texans!! Yeah there are a number of Houston fans in Wisconsin.

Jamie McGuire Thank you so much! I'm so glad that you are doing so well. I have also had a bit of weight gain since surgery and I'm trying to get it off too. It's so stubborn. Other than that I am doing good to. I can't believe it has already been a year, it has gone by so fast. I have actually moved from Texas to Salt Lake City. But I still love my Texans!! They are doing great this year, I'm glad to hear that there are Texans fans in Wisconsin. Thanks so much for writing in my guest book. I actually had surgery a couple of days after you but I remember the night before mine I checked this site every little bit until I saw an update about you. I was relieved to read that you did fine just before I went in. So thank you for that! I hope you continue to do well and keep sending updates!

Jamie McGuire Thanks Linda, I am continually reading your updates and i see that you are getting closer to the final point in this adventure, just keep going....you will feel so much better when it is over and you will definitely be able to walk with more ease then you are now...it is definitely worth it and you will see that when it's over.....good luck and try to be calm, it definitely helps to be positive and calm as much as you can.....I look forward to reading about all of your progress so keep sending updates!!

Jamie McGuire Thank You! Same to you, I have been wondering how you have been doing, I'm so glad you are doing good. I can't believe how fast time has gone by, I'm doing really good. Pretty much doing everything I was before surgery to. I'm so glad to be at this point in the recovery...before we know it, we will be celebrating a year since surgery! I haven't been updating my journal much, just been busy with summer and kids and stuff, but I do check in often and read some of the updates, but not as often as I used to. Thanks so much for checking in on me and I'm so glad you are doing well!
