Rita Savelis  Hello Heather. I'm sorry that you have to go through this shitty aftereffect of radiation. I had Hodgkin's in 1977 as an adolescent, and open heart surgery in 1995 at age 53 to replace my aortic and mitral valves with mechanical valves and repair my tricuspid valve. Plus a pacemaker installed as an added surprise. I feel for you because radiation treatment for cancer is the gift that keeps on giving. I think I have now had every possible aftereffect from chest radiation: breast cancer, thyroid problems, early menopause, depression, open heart surgery, scar tissue in the lungs, etc, etc... One deals with each after effect as it happens. I get angry every time I have another health problem to deal with. And then I deal with it and it's behind me. But none of it is fun. Take care.
