Hi Gail
Congratulations on the new arrival! Being a grandparent is just the best feeling ever. I sincerely hope you find some answers in reading the various journals here or at least some confidence in how you are feeling in your recovery. It\'s a long ole road and sometimes it\'s nice to have company. Cheers. Cheryl, Ontario

Good Morning Gail
Just came across your journal. Congratulations on the birth of your grandaughter!!!! When my grandson Michael was born 6 years ago it was such a blessing. Especially after my daughter had 2 miscarriages before Michael. Like you, it has hard to describe the feeling of holding that precious bundle. How comforting for you to know your heart beat soothes her. Not to many grandmothers can do that. Hope you will take the time to journal and keep us up to date. I will be having 2 replacement valves (mitral and aortic) on March 18th. This site has been a God send for me. Like you I am a Christian and my faith certainly helps when those \"doubts\" pop into my head.

Hi Gail,
I read your journal with interest because I'm headed toward MV repair also. I'm sorry to hear about your second surgery experience. Since your surgery have you heard if that's normal to be put on that machine prior to surgery??? I may have missed that but I didn't see that in Adam's book. I hope you continue to do well and take the proactive approach to managing your health.
Sincerely,
Debby Tomlinson
PS: I remember seeing that Oprah show too. Go Oprah!

Hi Gail
I am a recent mitral valve repair survivor and after reading what you have been through I certainly hope my repair will last. I too had strep throat a lot as a child and was always treated with meds promptly. We have no idea how my valve got damaged but when my second child was born it was finally noticed and had been deterioriating ever since. Are you just recovering from your last surgery now? Hopefully this site will give you some answers and feedback you are seeking. Cheryl, Ontario
