David Hackley posted a note for Deborah that says:
It's been one year ago today that Debbie had her heart valve surgery. She is doing very well, and is enjoying life. I am so thankful she was able to have the surgery. We are celebrating her 'Heart Day' today, and hope to celebrate many more. I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you still sharing your life with me.
Debbie, glad to hear that you are making a lot of progress. You might want to slow down enough so that you miss Black Friday. One of these days I'm going to retire the Wednesday before Black Friday. That is when my wife lets me.
So glad you are home! There is nothing like it! Just listen to your body and rest when you need to... remember...two steps forward & somedays...one step back...but you will get there :) just enjoy the pampering..you deserve it!!!
Hi Deborah, This is one time I was enjoying being in the hospital. I felt safe and secure there and I knew when I got home it was going to be different. Well I did get home and my husband has been wonderful to me. Now I get excited when I can do some little thing that I did before. It really is like being reborn. Hope you have a good and speedy recovery.

Debbie, thanks for sending your journal. I'll join the crowd praying for your recovery. I'll also tell the club.
From your journal, it sounds as if you are already on the road to recovery, for which I am thankful.
Debbie Hackley! I am so glad that you did this website! I am enjoying reading about your experience!!! And I am so glad that you posted your first post op blog!!!!! Proud of you and love you bunches!!!
THINKING OF YOU. MISSING YOU. We are all working so hard to maintain the store. We had a walk through on Tuesday. We got a good report. Jay was awesome. He will be missed. Waiting for the next one on Monday.
That would be great if she could go home this weekend. It seems like you feel better when your home. Still praying for my buddy Deb.
When you get well Deb, let's go play some golf!!! Like next spring!!!!
Dave, I hope you and Deb's sister are getting some rest too!!!
We all miss you! The crew worked hard the past weeks to make you proud. I want to come see you when you get ready for company. Miss our "what's for dinner" talks. Knew you would do well, but glad to see you doing it.
Well back in the day it was put as, "_____ "
Never mind. Keep it up Debbie, you'll be back herding the troops for Black Friday.
Just remember that old song, "Let the sun shine in, face it with a grin, smilers never lose and frowner's never win."
Debbie, Glad you continue to progress. Now it's time to get back to work. You are currently no. 1 for Oct. in sales and I am no. 2. I think the city of Marshall is doing some support or sympathy buying. Maybe you could post a cardboard cutout of you and they would think you are back to work and slow down on the buying. Keep up the progress!
Hey Deb! Been praying for you! Larry and I were actually in Longview today. We discussed visiting you, but felt it was too early. Please know that we would nave if we thought you were ready for visitors. Keep up the good work!
Welcome to the other side of the mountain!
Stay strong as you travel these first few days...it does get better!!! There will be good days & bad...but know it is part of the process of recovery.
I look forward to your updates...and pray you have a smooth journey.
