I actually knew it was 2 years ago today. I'm so proud of you Chuck and so happy that in the past 2 years you have turned your life around. The best part for me is that we have you to love for a long time because you had your surgery and recovered and are feeling so much healthier. Keep doing what your doing. Love you! Aunt Barbara

Hi Chuck, it was great to see your update at 2 months and how well you\'re doing now. Hang in there and be well. I\',m signed up for the same surgery in 6 weeks so it\'s been interesting to hear how things went for you. Sounds like you have great support.

Chuck - congratulations on your 2nd month! Sounds like you are right on target. I took off 12 weeks total, including my week of surgery. But I wish I had been able to take off longer. I took as much cardio rehab as I could during that time, but it was only a few short weeks. I am very in favor or cardio rehab. I thought I would push myself - but it helps a lot to have guidance and a bit more of a push from someone external to you/your family. It is exhausting but worth it. I saw a huge improvement quickly after I had even my small amount of rehab. But if you decide against, be sure to walk, walk, walk as much as you can. It really makes a difference in your recovery. I had Aortic Valve Replacement/Aortic Aneurism Repair in October 2012.

Chuck...I was off with my neck fusion for 47 days. I fought it but in the end needed the time. I am still incapable of some tasks. Take the time. It\'s hard but will be harder to go back only to realize it\'s too soon. You had open heart surgery. It\'s major! Be proud of every little thing you do. Also cardiac rehab could be very helpful expecially on the tough days, you will see first hand you are not alone. So grateful for your continued successes! Hope to see you and Lisa at the Handi Dip! :-)

Thank you Chuck for the gift of letting us in to something that has forever changed your life and the lives of your wife and daughters. It is inspiring to read your story and I have to say reading the entries of you and Lisa along the way allows us to stand silently by your side cheering you on. We give thanks every day that you have been given a new lease on life, a healthy one with a healthy heart that will keep you here and ensure your beautiful daughters having their daddy be here for each and every special event in their lives. Hugs my friend. Give your wife a big squeeze for us and Sophia, Allie & Faith.

Chuck, your right when you say Lisa is wonderful and strong. She is truly an amazing woman and I want you to know that she made sure we were updated on your progress even though she was under enormous stress of her own. I thank her so much for that. That said its great to hear from you and I\'m so glad your home now. I do want to talk to you but that will come in time. You will be tired and you need to rest and follow doctors orders. Love you and thinking about you everyday. Aunt Barb & Uncle Tim
