It sounds so familar...... I was one week out of surgery and doing fairly well. Then I began to go down the tubes....after a few more days my breathing was becoming more difficult and I could NOT eat! I did return to the doctor to find out I had fluid around the heart. Returned to the hospital for another 5 days....but have been feeling good for the past 2 weeks and have actually began cardio rehab this week. So know that your mom is in good hands and she WILL get better!! God bless you!!

And don\'t worry about appetite. It will come back soon enough. (Mine came back too well!!)
