I had an open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve on January 26, 2022. It is now May 5 and I still have left sided pain in my chest, it seems muscular not incisional. I am using a lidocaine patch and still have pain. Last night I was so miserable I took a prescription pain pill and a muscle relaxant. I seem to have less pain when lying on my back and pain returns when I am upright. Anyone else have pain this long out from surgery and did anything help? Thanks
