14 months ago i replaced my aortic valve with on x. I feel occasionally PVCs and skip beats but 3 days ago something was different. Suddenly started atrial flutter for 3 minutes that afraid me now i want to know is it normal or not? It is now 3rd day after that moment but everything is ok . It will come again Or i have to ignore that ?. 2 time holter monitor after avr but that was normal And also echo and ETT tests are normal but this new thing was so much terrified

Robert Miller If you only had it once you are probably fine but discuss it with your cardiologist during the next visit. There are some medicines that can help with it. Some might suggest ablation (minor procedure compared to OHS) but you probably first want to try cardioversion. Did you have OHS? If so, did they remove the appendage? And are you on blood thinner? The biggest risk from atrial flutter (I believe) is strokes but both ablation and cardioversion those get your heartbeat more stable. From your description, I don't think you need anything, though. I think you are just fine. Just don't take my word for it and address it to your cardiologist. Go trucking...
