Dec 26, 2012 - 9 Months, wow they went by quick. would say at this point if you didn\'t know I had to have surgery there is no way you would know unless I tell you. completely back to full schedule, hiking, working, commuting and have been for months. No down side to the surgery, thanks to all the medical staff, family and friends who have been there!
July 22 2012 coming up on 4 months post-op doing great overall. A little frustrating that I still get winded when walking on an incline. I can walk on level ground for miles but throw in a slight incline and i\'m breathing hard very quickly. Anybody else out there seen this and most importantly how long before it goes away?
June 28, 2012 3 months post-op and doing great. Walking, hiking and now back to commuting to work as well. Got back on my motorcycle this week as well. So glad I had this done.
June 16, 2012 Well this is going to be a big week, first I am starting to go back to the office, total commute per days is about 3 hours. Not looking forward to that, have been working from home but at my own pace. Secondly, I will be taking my second hike on the Appalachian Trail on Thursday! First hike was on Day 52, does the mind good to get out in the fresh air. Doesn\'t hurt to have many supportive friends to go with you either.
I am amazed at the amount of stories that I am reading and the folks had major pain. I had very little. I was off pain meds in the Step-Down unit and only took a pill if I had a coughing attack. Sounds like I was a lucky one, anybody else that didn\'t have major pain?
