Hi Every one.I was reading lot of community feeds and was trying to relate any one who had simmillar condition like mine and if so how they have overcome this .My situation is that after open heart surgery replacing arotic valve and removing calcium built up 3 weeks into recovery I still feel stiffness in my little and ring finger.I wonder is this normal and would wither out over a period of time.Also yet to meet my surgeon in 2 months time but would appreciate input as to any one having simmillar situation and how it has improved.pls do write up.cheers.

Marie Myers Sometimes because of our position on the table during open heart surgery, pressure or pulling on nerves in our neck, arms or shoulder can cause nerve irritation or damage. Most of these symptoms may clear up with time. Some people experience numbness or tingling also. I did not experience this, but many patients have had it. Speaking with your surgeon is a good idea, and if it does not resolve with time, you could see your primary doc for more ideas. Hope it resolves soon!
