What is the "normal" open valve area for a Bicuspid Aortic Valve? For a Tricuspid Valve, 3.0 - 4.0 cm is typical, but I cannot find any similar baseline reference for Bicuspid Valves.
Each year, I get an Echo and all it has said for valve area is "normal" which I find annoying since it's a BAV and thus cannot possibly be 3.0 cm. But last year, the Echo report stated 1.3 cm and this year it is 1.1 cm which from what I have read, is on the verge of Severe Aortic Stenosis.
I am trying to figure out how fast this is deteriorating, so if you have a benchmark valve size for a BAV, I would appreciate it.
