Rex Austin Hi Marsha. Im from North Carolina but sounds like you have been in the same boat I was in. I had surgery at WakeMed hospital in Raleigh NC. Wishing you the best of luck! Lot's of good information on the site and lots of great folks to talk with about what you're experiencing. There is a link at the top of this page for surgeon finder. That's how I found Dr Boulton.

Marcus Krauss Hi Marsha, I didn't have MV repair; I recently had a Ross Procedure to replace my bicuspid aortic valve, but I'm in the Bay Area, and I can't speak highly enough of the Cardiothoracic Surgery department at Stanford, as well as the great aftercare and hospital experience I had post-surgery. My surgeon was Dr. Joseph Woo, who was outstanding. I initially met with Dr. Michael Fischbein, who my cardiologist had very good things to say about. The only reason I switched from Dr. Fischbein to Dr. Woo is because Dr. Woo is one of the few surgeons that specializes in the Ross Procedure, which is still not a very common surgery.
