I am new to this blog and getting my profile set up. I am set for aortic valve replacement surgery on October 12, 2017. I was told I had aortic stenosis 5 years ago and would probably need surgery in 10 years or so. Well, the valve had other ideas. I have been reading the many stories here and read Adam's book. All the information has been extremely helpful and reduced my anxiety levels. I also have an enlarged ascending aorta which may be repaired during my open heart surgery. More updates to follow.
