So I’m 37 was recently diagnosed with aortic stenosis and a bicuspid valve. Cardiologist isn’t 100% sure I’m to severe level yet. I’ve been having dizzy spells for several months off and on but attributed that to high blood pressure. These have been increasing and now I’m dizzy more often than not! I also have chest pressure and occasional pains. Been checking my bp regularly and it’s always around 135/82. Are these symptoms from my valve? How long/bad do they need to be before they do something with the valve? At 37 I’m not thrilled about OHS but alternative isn’t great either!

Rose Madura Hi Chris. I wonder if your dizziness is lightheaded or spinning. I would think an echo would give the doctor enough information to determine the level of stenosis. My cardiologist waited too long and I wonder if I would be alive today if he hadn't retired and I got a new cardiologist. You can always get a second opinion. I ended up with four.
Evan Wise Definitely a second opinion is in order!

Chris Langenhahn More lightheaded I guess! The heat and humidity seems to really tire me out more than it used to as well as make the lightheadedness worse! On my first echo the radiologist noted I was at severe levels but cardiologist says he’s not sure I’m severe enough!? He wants a stress echo thought is he will see what he needs better! But hospital is booked till end of month! I am getting a second opinion from MAYO clinic but they’re booked till mid July. I think COVID-19 screwed everything up!!
