Robert Miller I am not an expert in this and I am not familiar with Dioxign. But research Dioxin, amiodarone, metoprolol and cavedilol. Some address arrhythmias better like Amiodarone. But Amiodarone is toxic over long term (1+ years). So I consider this more like a short term test to see if you can control your situation (even after lowering and eventually stopping it). Metoprolol and Carvedilol are similar. Metoprolo might be something you want to try first for Afib, rate control, etc. If you have heart failure, Amiodarone might be better but it might not do much for you, depending on your condition. You can PM me as I used most of those and more medicines.

Chris Hynes Thanks Robert. Using both Amiodarone for 7 weeks. Added Digoxin last Saturday. HR has dropped from average of 100BPM per day to 80-85 daily average. Waiting around two weeks for A fib to go away. If not, then cardioversion to reset the rhythm

Chris Hynes Dropped Metoprolol on advice from surgical nurse. Not effective. Saw surgeon yesterday..........HR was 70 BPM. BP perfect. He's satisfied for where I am at 7 weeks out. No heart failure. No damage. Good prognosis. 2-4 miles walking per day. No pain. Just the a fib hanging on. I'll see where I'm at in two weeks.

Robert Miller That sounds like great news. Hopefully the Afib will go away after waiting a bit more. If you get a cardioversion, they might load you up with Amidarone a few days before the procedure, then a lower dose of it for the next few months. If that doesn't help, ablation might be the next step. But hopefully, in a few weeks you will get out of Afib without requiring any of this.
