Saw my PCP in October. Heard a murmur for the first time. Sent me for an echo. Then called and told me the results were really bad and I needed to see a surgeon.
Saw a surgeon in December at University of Md.
Wasn’t comfortable with him. Finally saw a cardiologist who suggested Dr. Satler at MedStar. He is world renown for TAVR. I had lots of tests and it was decided that I was not a candidate for TAVR so OHS it was.
The past year was rough. With Covid surgery was pushed back and finally happened in April. I came thru great and recovered well. Now it seems I have recovered physically but still need some mental healing.
