About Me (In My Own Words)
I had my 2nd valve implant in May 2009. My 1st implant was a St Judes prosthetic valve which lasted for 22 years. Since I was not a candidate for a Ross procedure, I opted for a 3rd generation pig valve. Wow! I love it! I do anything I want to do. I exercise 3 times per week. No more Coumadin, so more Digitoxin or Tambacor. I still take 12.5mg of Lopressor & baby aspirin because the surgeon feels that it will make the valve last longer. I have been truly blessed.
