About Me (In My Own Words)
I found out in 2006 I was born with a bicuspid Aortic Valve. I had a stroke so that’s when they found it. Then they found stenosis, regurgitation, a murmur. I was not symptomatic until 2017. I was so used to feeling out of breath I didn’t notice it. Then in Oct they did a angio and echo, chest X-rays with contrast. So many tests. My valve was completely closed I needed surgery ASAP! It had to be open heart. So I had it on Oct 12,2017. I was supposed to have it oct 10 , then the 11th but my platelets and some other blood work wasn’t good so it was postponed 2 times.
