About Me (In My Own Words)
I have had a heart murmur my whole life but never thought much about it. In a doctor visit for a head cold, my PCP heard the murmur and suggested I go to a cardiologist for a check-up. The echo revealed that I had a bicuspid aortic valve that was allowing severe regurgitation. While having no symptoms, I soon met with the surgeon who confirmed the diagnosis and due to calcification will be replacing my aortic valve.
