About Me (In My Own Words)
Where do I begin. I am a cancer survivor of 22 years, I was 5 months pregnant with my second child when I was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. I under went chemotherapy and radiation to my chest. I was told that both may cause damage to my heart. So this is where I am now. I just found out in December, 2011 that I had a severe leaky mitral valve and A-fib and would need surgery. I was to have my surgery the beginning of January In Columbus, Ohio, but my Guardian Angel (aka, my Dr. friend that had seen me through my cancer and my life) By the way his name is Dr. Hart (pretty ironic) wanted me to go to The Cleveland Clinic to have my surgery. The date is set on May 16, 2012 with Dr. Gillinov.
