About Me (In My Own Words)
Couldn't breathe. Rushed into surgery. This surgery and recovery was the worse thing I have ever been through. I worry that I may have to go through this again because I have another valve leaking. This damage to my heart is a result of radiation therapy in 1982 when I was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease. Since I already have 2 mechnical valves would I qualify for less invasive surgery. I fear that I could not survive another full open chest surgery again.I am 70 years old.
