About Me (In My Own Words)
I was born with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, a common congenital heart disease. Growing up I actively participated in sports but my cardiologist restricted me from certain things.
December of 2010 I found out I would need to under go surgery to fix my valve, which was now leaking. My cardiologist in Orange County told me by summer I should have surgery.
Since that news, I have been getting more and more opinions, from doctors in California, Ohio, and New York.
Im terrified to undergo this procedure, but im taking it one day at a time.
