About Me (In My Own Words)
I went to see my primary dr. for just a yearly check-up. Told him I had been having a little shortness of breath while doing just everyday housecleaning. He listen to my heart and said you have a small murmur and sent me to cardiologist for further testing. I had an ultra sound and was diagnosed with moderate aortic stenosis. I went for a 2nd opinion at UAB. They did another ultra sound then scheduled me a heart cath which showed it to be worse than they originally suspected. I was then told it was Severe and scheduled for valve replacement Oct. 17th 2019. I will be receiving the INSPIRIS RESILIA aortic valve.
