About Me (In My Own Words)
Known about the stenosis for awhile, but Feb 2020 was hospitalized for the new onset afib. And Echo indicated it was time but not emergent. And you all know what came next covid! It shut done everything in my area and I needed to have angiogram before my referral to Stanford. March to June everything closes. So I had to wait my turn, when it came time in September for me to have it, I ended up with shingles, so had to wait. Finally angiogram in Nov! Yay, it was getting done , my cardiologist told me “ I’m sending your referral, possibly by end of Nov, I’m think so get ready!” Well got call from Stanford, telling me “you needed this 2 months ago and your at risk for cardiac event! How fast can you get your teeth cleaned? ! I called my dentist and told him about my call and he added me after hours! This was on a Friday, drove 5 hours to Stanford on Monday for pre-op and on 10th had aortic root, aortic valve replacement. And in was back home by 11/16!
