About Me (In My Own Words)
I was born with a PFO, malalignment VSD, right-sided aortic arch, and anomalous muscle bundles. I now have moderate tricuspid regurgitation caused by the surgery to patch repair the VSD & dissect the muscle bundles at 9 months of age.
I was recently diagnosed (at age 29) with a vascular ring caused by an aberrant left subclavian artery off a diverticulum of Kommerell. I am in the process of being scheduled for surgery to repair the vascular ring since it is causing 60% compression of my trachea. During the vascular ring repair, the surgeons are also going to repair my tricuspid valve. I don't yet have surgery dates, but am in the process of getting everything scheduled.
