About Me (In My Own Words)
I am 47 years old and in March of 2013 I came home from a business trip with the flu. After the fever and body aches ended I was left with discomfort in my lungs, pain in my left chest. After 8 weeks and 2 chest x-rays and extreme fatigue setting in a CT scan was ordered. I was born with Scimitar syndrome and for some reason it was not caught at birth. Or after I had a tough pregnancy riddled with high blood pressure. I am now 6 weeks on to my recovery thankful I will have a happy healthy life. I was blessed to not end up with any complications from such a late in life diagnosis.
