About Me (In My Own Words)
I have had a 95% pericardectomy in 2014 which was a very traumatic surgery. I have had additional mitral valve replacement with titanium valve last year. Went well until i found out i had developed an infection and was flown back to hospital to endure 50 days of hell ,including ICU delirium which i have been traumatised by. I will never be the same and am regretting having the valve surgery even though it was needed as my aorta was above 55mm.
Now i have been informed my mitral valve is needing repair but due to my bilateral pec closure i can not have open chest surgery again.
