About Me (In My Own Words)
Danish father of two sons, 51 years, living in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Diagnosed with BAV AS. Peak gradient around 120 mmhg, mean 60mmhg. Valve area down to 0.7 cm2.
Experienced a "Flash Pulmonary Edema" (coughing up blood) while swimming in rough seas in February 2018. Otherwise healthy. No other heart issues.
Had a Ross Procedure at Mount Sinai May 9th 2018 by one of the world's most incredible surgeons, the famous professor Paul Stelzer. All went well, and Paul Stelzer is truly in a league of his own... I strongly recommend a Ross procedure if you're below 60, and are calcified only (no backflow) with no other issues.
