Hi Adam, It's been a while since I last wrote to you. As you recall, I had my third aorta valve implanted in Nov, 2005. I'm doing fine, but I have been informed by my doctor of the number of people that fail to take their Coumadin as directed or have their levels checked on a regular basis. I can't express to you the importance of taking the med and having the level checked on time. You can go for months with no change and without notice, no symptoms, no pain, the level can become too high or too low. Too much and you can bleed internally and too little can cause a stroke. We all have been lucky to be given a second chance, please take your meds as described and have those levels checked. Your life depends upon it.
