About Me (In My Own Words)
im here on behalf of my dad..
Last month, my 58 year old dad was booked in to have surgery to replace his aortic and mitral heart valves. Once prepped and ready to go, the surgeon put a camera down my dad's throat to obtain a better look at the heart valves that needed replacing. It was then discovered that my dad had severely calcified heart valves, (aortic and mitral valve stenosis) and that valve replacement surgery would be a risky task, giving him a 50/50 chance of survival. Since then, my dad has seen another cardiologist who has also ruled out heart valve replacement without surgery (transcatheter heart valve), again due to the risks of the calcium crumbling, and going into his blood stream etc. This is where I need some assistance- Does anyone know of an individual who has/had a similar condition and was treated? Has anyone tried natural therapies to break down the calcium on the heart valves? If so, what was the treatment, and where was it done? Any insight would be of enormous help! Thanks
